In November, 2000 the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) released its Final Ergonomics Standard, which went into effect January 2001. This standard was later repealed by Congress. OSHA is currently enforcing ergonomics using the general duty clause of the Act. Common elements of ergonomics programs include management leadership and employee participation, worksite analysis procedures, hazard control, training and education, medical management and recordkeeping.
The ESMC team has specialized in conducting detailed quantitative assessments of ergonomic risks associated with cumulative trauma disorders (such as carpal tunnel syndrome), and back injuries since 1992. Let us help you!
